"Whose Child Are You?"

"Whose Child Are You?"

It is clear who are the children of God and who are the children of the devil by this - anyone who does not act righteously or love his brother is not of God.

The one who says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in the darkness. The one who loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

Do not be surprised, brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.

God's righteous ones have encountered much hatred from the ones in the world, who although having done no harm, have often been martyred while calling "Father, forgive them, they don't know what they are doing!"

It is not as though the world intends to do evil to holy ones.. they have been deceived to think of the holy one as being evil. They have believed falsehoods - how?

By whatever you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practise the same things.

To the pure all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. Both their mind and conscience are defiled.

Perception is a person's reality. A person is always interpreting others in order to know that person's thoughts, that they might agree with, learn from, edify and enjoy that person as a fellow inhabitant in life.

There is a problem in that some people are sinners and some are saints - some are of the devil, some are of God (Proverbs 29:27). A person's spirit is either holy or evil, and it is their beliefs that commit them to that way of thinking.

When a person is thinking evil of a holy person, they are first finding an objectionable deed or word, and having found hate for him, must then proceed to imagine that person's motives in such a way that is not moved by righteousness or love.

The worldly one does not approach the holy one sincerely in order to understand, instead he is enslaved to his passionate hatred so as to rise up and condemn the very one who has found favour in God's eyes.

Proverbs 29:27

Do not be like Cain, who was from the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his deeds were evil while his brother's were righteous.

When someone is thinking wrong of us while we are innocent, it tempts us to judge them in response. This is how through one man, death spread to all - because all sinned.

How then does the sacrifice of the one man, Jesus Christ, bring life more abundantly?

There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Beware of practicing your righteousness before others to be seen by them; otherwise you have no reward from your father in heaven.

Christianity makes this clear - that judgement belongs to God. Do not be quarrelsome, for "whoever draws the sword shall fall by the sword" and "do not answer a fool according to his folly, else you will be like him". Let your "yes" be yes and your "no" be no. (Jude 1:9-10).

Jude 1:9-10

So make up your minds not to prepare ahead of time to defend yourselves — for I Myself will give you speech and wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute.

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.

We know who it is that brings a charge against God's elect. It is the ones who have yielded to deception and are enslaved by the devil. They are the children of the darkness, in whom no love resides.

Love rejoices with the truth, and yet these ones refuse to permit the views of the one whom they accuse, for fear that their evil deeds be exposed. (John 3:19-21).

John 3:19-21

They are from the world, so they speak from the world and the world listens to them. We are from God; whoever knows God listens to us, but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

If they only hear each other and they believe wrongly about those born of God .. what is the motive and origin of their information?

strife, envy, outbursts of anger, self-seeking disputes, lashon ha-ra, gossip, arrogance, unruly commotions, not repented of the impurity and sexual immorality and indecency which they committed.

Since they have the passion to murder (John 8:44) and the godly must refrain from drawing the sword, to maintain love .. then what is to be done about it?

John 8:44

Do not be anxious about anything, for you are very precious to your father in heaven. Trust in God with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall make your paths straight. Therefore by prayer and supplication, make your requests known to God. Then peace surpassing understanding will guard your heart and mind. No weapon formed against you will prosper and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgement. This is the heritage of Adonai’s servants — their vindication is from Me.” It is a declaration of Adonai.

It can sometimes seem that the end is too far off and there is no hope enduring. Jesus said "come to me you who are burdened, and you will find rest for your souls".

In order that we may withstand in the day of God's judgement, we must render judgement to God and commit our ways to Him.
When you are inclined to think that a person is wrong, have you ensured that your facts will endure the light of the truth?
